MoD Flights

Post by tyresmoke on Sat Jun 13, 2009 12:54 pm

So we've had Arkefly over the last week and Monarch yesterday, with Air Italy due tomorrow with more Monarch and Arkefly due over the next few days it seems things are getting a bit more interesting again for us! Maybe not the Monarchs but the other two are less than regular!

I don't know if the A300 today is linked yet as it has no plan out yet.

Hi just been to see the a300 very different to see a unusual aircraft which comes into MME parked head first into stand 1. Also theres 2 of the bin loaders one which i have seen before, and another which i haven't. The yellow bin loader has some scaffolding on, or something which looks like it (could we use it for our viewing platform in the spotting field). Also it looks as though it will not move this evening as there is nobody near the aircraft.

SU-BMZ is a regular at Amsterdam, certainly beats the regular dross that turns up at D.T.V. All the troops going to Canada have to come back and then go to Afganistan so lets hope things pick up......they cannot get any worse,

Cheers Pete.

MOD Flights

Post by Colt41 on Wed Jun 17, 2009 10:07 am

Why use the word dross. As far as i am concerned i just love to see aircraft, regular or not. I have been interested in aviation for around 50 years, and it still gives me a buzz to see any aircraft. The miracle of flight itself is always worth watching. If you are not happy with dtva then try going to other places around the area and around the country like i do with some like minded friends

Believe me guys!! I travel all over the world taking photos of aircraft and the word "dross" is the word i would explain the traffic we get here at DTV along with the management that run the place!!!!
